Happy 7 Years to Skin Deep! | Meet the Esthetician Team
On February 16, 2023, Skin Deep celebrated seven years in business. Skin Deep started as a dream of Mariquita and Beth, two best friends who were single moms looking to build a sustainable, healthy, and independent lifestyle.
Between them, they have over 50 years of experience in the beauty industry, and their dream was to create a space where women and men alike can obtain healthy, beautiful skin for a lifetime. Together, they took a risk, and in Mariquita’s words,
“It’s been better and more rewarding than we ever could have imagined.”
In honor of seven years in business, we wanted to highlight our team of estheticians and share with you a little more about them!
Mariquita
What do you love most about being an esthetician?
I love the beauty industry and helping people look the best they can for whatever age they are. And I love all of the incredible people I’ve met over my 33 years of being an esthetician. I also have a passion for learning and I love that this career gives me the opportunity to learn and grow and educate myself and my clients.
If you could only have one beauty treatment for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
I would choose a facial because you can make so many changes to the skin with a therapeutic facial. Plus, the power of human touch is so incredible that you’re changing the skin as well as feeding the soul.
On Mariquita’s days off…
Mariquita loves cooking and her perfect day would be spending time with her family and friends. If she could host a party every day and feed the people she loves, she would. She also loves going for bike rides, being outside, and listening to music and dancing.
Beth
What do you love most about being an esthetician?
Over the 23 years I have been an esthetician, the amazing men and women I have met definitely is one of the many reasons I love my job. Continually learning and expanding on my passion for skin care and this industry would be my next favorite part!
If you could only have one beauty treatment for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
If I could only pick one treatment for the rest of my life it would definitely be dermaplaning! Not only do you get a customized treatment for your skin, you also get all the peach fuzz taken off which results in the smoothest skin ever!
On Beth’s days off…
Beth’s perfect day off would be at a class or training! She’s also an avid reader, and she always has 2 books she’s reading. Put her on a patio with a glass of wine and she’s so happy.

What do you love most about being an esthetician?
My favorite thing about being an esthetician is my clientele. I'm forever grateful for the trust and faith they put into me.
If you could only have one beauty treatment for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
If I had to pick one service it would be a facial. They are so relaxing and rewarding. I'm always in awe at how beautiful the skin looks after a facial.
On Katrina’s days off…
You can find her painting, hanging out with her dog, and skiing.

What do you love most about being an esthetician?
What I love about being an esthetician is the personal relationships and connections I have with my clients. It's powerful and truly rewarding.
If you could only have one beauty treatment for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
If I had to pick on beauty treatment for the rest of my life, I would say it would be chemical peels. It is the most adaptive and effective treatment for all skin types. Plus I love to peel in general, so satisfying!
On Larissa’s days off…
You’ll find her walking her puggy, cooking, spending time with her boyfriend, trying new restaurants (they are big foodies), Netflix couch cuddles, and doing wedding and makeup applications!
